Some Tips and Tricks for Your Roof

From the start, I’m going to state that I hope this doesn’t sound like I’m complaining. I love my new house. However, the reality of buying a new home is that there’s inevitably going to be problems. People usually want to sell it without spending much on repairs first. That’s why it didn’t surprise me all that much to find out that there were problems with the roof. The previous owner had used a bad lead based system that was starting to break down. I wasn’t fond of either the material, or the construction, so I decided to replace it. I went with a lead flashing substitute which could more easily fit in with the existing aluminum already in place. There were a lot of big reasons for this. The first is simply the superior craftsmanship of the one I bought. But just as much, I like that it’s more environmentally friendly.
